Why join?

The East Grinstead Society is an independent group of residents who are interested in the well-being of the town and who monitor proposals which may affect its character and quality of life. We are looking for like-minded people of all ages to join. The annual subscription of £10 includes free copies of the Society’s Bulletin and Newsletter distributed thrice yearly.

Monthly Friday meetings with a visiting speaker are held at 8 pm in the Main Hall, East Court. Non-members, including potential joiners, are most welcome - £1 entry. For the full programme see Activities.

Click on Membership Application Form. Print out, complete and post to the Membership Secretary, together with a cheque for £10 payable to The East Grinstead Society:

Bulletin and Newsletter

The Bulletin contains in-depth articles of permanent local interest. Back numbers accompanied by remittance payable to the East Grinstead Society may be ordered from the Editor, 20 St George’s Court, East Grinstead, RH19 1QP or from the Town Museum for £1 each plus postage; more than one issue post-free; a set of all back numbers in print £20, post-free. Persons wishing only to receive the Bulletin can do so at a special rate of £5 per calendar year, payable in advance to the Editor. The Newsletter contains reports and news on Society matters. Comments and contributions may be emailed to the Editor at hskitching@hotmail.com. Back issues may be ordered for 50p each plus postage, £10 a set post-free, from the same addresses as the Bulletin.
